For now let me introduce myself... Hi I'm Katy! I'm a Marine wife, mother of 3 (2 girls and 1 boy), sister, daughter, aunt and friend. I love all my jobs and yes some times they are jobs! I grew up here in San Diego and love being a SoCal girl. You will see me in flip-flops most days, but don't get me wrong, I love me some dressy shoes. :) I think I've been crafting my whole life in one way or another and was introduced to Close To My Heart about 11 years ago. In September I will celebrate my 5 year anniversary with CTMH and look forward to my next 5. I love to stamp and scrapbook, cook, watch trashy TV and spend time with my family and friends.
The story behind the blog name... The Marines have the saying "Semper Fi"~ always faithful. The unofficial Marine wife saying "Semper Gumby" ~ always flexible. Well, why not "Semper Crafty"... Always Crafty?!? I LOVE being a wife of a Marine and want to honor that and what I love to do. So there you have it, Semper Crafty will be a way for me to showcase several things; current projects, CTMH promotions, family stories and whatever else I'm feeling for the week.
